PrintVolunteering opportunities are available from time to time. We asks of its volunteers to be commited, have good attendance and provide excellent customer care. We would like to offer work experience to local people who wish to develop their skills in social housing and customer services.
To date we have achieved 100% success in getting our volunteers into paid employement. Here are their stories:
Adi Banjo: Placement volunteer for three months
"I came to Mitali Housing Association from Soltech Housing Consultants on a work placement for three months. I had a great time at Mitali Housing Association and was able to learn a lot about housing management and what it takes to be a housing officer. With the skills and experience I have built up my confidence. I would recommend anyone wishing to carry out a work placement to do it at Mitali Housing Association. "When I joined Mitali Housing Association, it was a new experience for me because I had never worked in the social housing sector before, but I was looking forward to the operations behind a housing association. I have gained a lot of skills at my time with Mitali Housing Association and also learned how the skills I already have can be applied in a professional working environment. After working at Mitali for the last two weeks, I could definitely say that I have enjoyed my placement at Mitali because not only does Mitali HA manage homes but they are actively working on improving the communities they operate in.
